Dr. Kate FitzPatrick is the EVP/Connelly Foundation Chief Nurse Executive Officer for Jefferson Health and Professor and Associate Dean for the Jefferson College of Nursing.  Formerly, Dr. Fitzpatrick served as SVP/Chief Nursing Officer at the University of Vermont Medical Center & Associate Dean for Academic & Practice Integration at the University of Vermont College of Nursing & Health Sciences. She spent 18 years at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where she served in a variety of clinical leadership roles on the Penn senior leadership team.  In 2021, Dr. Fitzpatrick was awarded an honorary Doctorate of Science from Thomas Jefferson University for her contributions during the critical response to the pandemic. She currently serves on the Finance Committee for American Academy of Nursing. She is a Magnet Program appraiser with the ANCC. Dr. Fitzpatrick completed the Robert Wood Johnson Executive Nurse Fellowship in 2017.
