Josh Wymer serves as Chief Health Information Officer with the Defense Health Agency's San Diego Market, Chief Nursing Informatics Officer with Naval Medical Center San Diego, and Clinical Associate Professor with the University of San Diego.

Wymer delivers health information leadership across a comprehensive health system serving 357,000 beneficiaries and more than 11,000 physicians, providers, clinicians, and staff. He also serves as adjunct faculty with the Hahn School of Nursing and Health Science teaching across the advanced health care informatics and executive nurse leadership programs. He actively serves as a member of the Healthcare Information and Management System Society’s North America Analytics Advisory Panel, on the editorial board for the American College of Healthcare Executive’s Healthcare Executive magazine, as a board member and Vice President of the Competency and Credentialing Institute’s Board of Directors, and as a member of the ballot committee for ANA\California.

Wymer holds an MS in Project Management from Granite State College, an MA in Enterprise Strategic Planning from the U.S. Naval War College, an MSN in Health Care Informatics from the University of San Diego, and a BSN from Seattle University. He is currently pursuing doctoral studies at Johns Hopkins University.
