Lorna Kwai Ping Suen is the Dean and Professor of the School of Nursing at Tung Wah College. Dr. Suen has served as an academic at tertiary institutions of Hong Kong for over 25 years. She is also an active researcher, published over 140 scientific articles in international refereed journals. One of her research areas is related to complementary and alternative medicine. She has successfully led many clinical trials that apply auriculotherapy for symptoms management. Dr. Suen previously held the position of Director of the Infection Control at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and has led several centre-related research projects on infection control. The findings of these projects drew significant media attention and resulted in a significant impact.
Dr. Suen earned her BN and MPH from the University of Sydney, and her PhD from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She has obtained the Fellow in Research and Education from the Hong Kong Academy of Nursing since 2013; and has been recognized by the Stanford University’s List as the World’s Top 2% Scientists, under the subject field 'Complementary and Alternative Medicine’.
