Pamela Stewart Fahs is Associate Dean and Professor at the Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences, Binghamton University, where she also holds the Dr. G. Clifford and Florence B. Decker Endowed Chair in Rural Nursing. She is the Editor of the Online Journal of Rural Nursing and Health Care, the official journal of the Rural Nurses Organization (RNO).

Dr. Stewart Fahs teaches rural health nursing, theory, and disparities; and has directed one of the few nursing PhD programs focused on Rural Nursing. She is a long-term, active, member of RNO, having held multiple Board positions, and continues on the board as Editor of the journal. Her research focuses on the cardiovascular health of rural populations. She is widely published in journals such as Nursing Research, Adolescent Health, and Journal of Rural Health. Her rural advocacy is approached through work with the RNO and education of rural nurse scientists, and advanced practice nurses for rural areas.

Dr. Stewart Fahs holds a PhD from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, an MS from the Decker School of Nursing at Binghamton University, State University of New York, a BSN from the University of Kentucky, and an ASN from Eastern Kentucky University.
