Mary Rezk-Hanna currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Born and raised in Egypt, Dr. Rezk-Hanna’s program of research focuses on vascular regulation and human cardiovascular physiology in the area of tobacco-related diseases. Her current work is particularly focused on studying the cardiovascular health effects and potential harms of conventional, new and emerging tobacco products and the mechanisms by which these products affect cardiovascular function. Dr. Rezk-Hanna utilizes her program of research to inform evidence base regulatory efforts for tobacco and alternative tobacco products, to reduce disease burden resulting from their use. Dr. Rezk-Hanna is also a board-certified nurse practitioner.

Dr. Mary Rezk-Hanna obtained her Masters and PhD in cardiovascular physiology from the UCLA School of Nursing.
