Joan O’Hanlon Curry is the Administrative Director, Pediatric Clinical Services at the The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. She serves as the clinical lead for all of pediatrics at the organization, directing the inpatient and outpatient nurses and staff as well as the advanced practice providers. Ms. O’Hanlon Curry has been an active member of the Association of Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nurses (APHON), spending the last 10 years on the board and is currently the immediate past president. Ms. O’Hanlon Curry is also a member of the Children’s Oncology Group. She is an ambassador for the Friends of the National Institute of Nursing Research. She previously served as the Administrative Nurse Manager for the pediatric hematology/oncology program at The Children's Hospital at Montefiore.
Ms. O'Hanlon Curry received her BA in psychology from Kenyon College, her BSN from Pace University and her MS from Columbia University as a pediatric nurse practitioner. Currently, Ms. O’Hanlon Curry is a Samuel H. and Maria Miller Scholar in the DNP Nurse Executive Track at the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing, Case Western Reserve University, with an anticipated graduation in 2023. She is in the second cohort of the Coldiron Senior Nurse Executive Fellowship in the Marian K. Shaughnessy Nurse Leadership Academy.
