Joseph Napolitano is the Vice President of Patient Care Services for Lehigh Valley Health Network. He is responsible for the overall recruitment and retention of nurses across a 10 hospital, horizontally and vertically integrated, health care network with 20,000+ team members. Dr. Napolitano also serves as adjunct faculty at Cedar Crest College and DeSales University schools of nursing. He is the former chair of the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and served in senior roles on the boards of The Wellness Community – Greater Lehigh Valley and The Hillside School. Dr. Napolitano is the current Chair of the Pennsylvania Action Coalition and an affiliate scholar for Virginia Commonwealth University’s Langston’s Center for Innovation in Quality and Safety. He previously held leadership roles at the Dorothy Rider Pool Health Care Trust, the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.

Dr. Napolitano holds a BA from Skidmore College, an MPH from Yale University, a BSN and MSN from the University of Pennsylvania, and a PhD from New York University.
