Susan Mullaney is a Vice President at UnitedHealth Group's Center for Clinician Advancement.

Dr. Mullaney serves as a leader within UnitedHealth Group's Medical Affairs team supporting the over 31,000 nurses and nurse practitioners. She leads initiatives that promote the role all clinicians play in the health care system with an emphasis on workforce development, leadership, and health policy advocacy.

She is on the American Association of Colleges of Nursing Board as a practice representative; a Board member of the Gerontology Nursing Certification Commission; and a Board member of her local Council on Aging. Dr. Mullaney previously held leadership positions as Vice President of Nurse Practition Clinical Strategy within OptumCare and the Chief Nursing Officer of Optum's Institutional Special Needs Plan executing clinical model implementations for over 7,000 nursing home residents.

Dr. Mullaney received her Doctorate of Nursing Practice and Masters of Nursing from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and her Bachelors from Boston College.
