Lezhi Li is Vice Dean at Central South University. Dr. Li has been a registered nurse since 1980 and has dedicated herself to the nursing career for nearly 40 years. She embarked on surgical care in 1981 in the perioperative care of cardiothoracic patients. Besides her clinical career in practical services, she has been engaged in nursing management, nursing education, and nursing research.
As the Vice-Chairman of both the Nursing Industry Committee and Intensive Care Committee of the Chinese Nursing Association (CNA), she is also the Vice-Chairman of the Hunan Nursing Association and the Chairman of the Intensive Care Professional Committee of the Hunan Nursing Association. She has supervised 93 master's students and 4 Ph.D. students. She has been the chief editor for the national textbook of Surgical Care for undergraduates and vocational school students. She also holds positions on the editorial board of the Chinese Journal of Nursing, Journal of Nursing Science, and Journal of Chinese Physicians.
Dr. Li holds a BSN from Hong Kong Polytechnic University, an MSN from Chiang Mai University, and a Ph.D. from Central South University, and a BA from Stony Brook University.
