Mei Krishnasamy is Director of the Academic Nursing Unit and is the professional lead for cancer nursing education and research at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. The role exists to influence, inform and innovate the delivery of quality nursing care. She is an honorary Professor of Cancer Nursing in the Department of Nursing and the Sir Peter MacCallum Department of Oncology at the University of Melbourne, where she provides expert advice to cancer nursing programs and supervision to multidisciplinary graduate researchers. She also holds the position of Research and Education Lead for Nursing at the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Alliance, a powerful partnership of 10 leading clinical, research and academic partners. She is Board member of the International Society of Nurses in Cancer Care and is on the committee of The Expert Oncology Nursing Group for the Victorian Cancer COVID-19 Network. Professor Krishnasamy previously held leadership roles as President of the Cancer Nurses Society of Australia, and the Clinical Oncology Society of Australia.
Dr. Krishnasamy holds a PhD from the University of London, MSc from the University of Surrey, and a BA from Cardiff University.
