Tsuey-Yuan Huang is a Professor (faculty affliate) at the Chang Gung University of Science and Technology School of Nursing and a Research Scientist at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital Cardiology Department. As an experienced critical care nurse and health services researcher, Dr. Huang’s primary areas of impact are nurse-led self-care and symptom improvement interventions to improve the quality of life for patients with heart failure. Her research includes the effects of symptom management, self-care, and hospice care. Over the course of her career, Dr. Huang has actively contributed to addressing dyspnea symptom experiences and self-care interventions for heart failure patients with East-Asian backgrounds. Her work in developing and testing the intervention's effectiveness is in alignment with enhancing the quality of health and nursing care and improving self-care in patients with heart failure. The impact of her research is multidisciplinary and is cited in nursing, medicine, and psychology. Her services in the community and clinical practice also contribute to professionals' career development by helping strengthen their clinical competency through evidence-based practice.

Dr. Huang earned her BSN, MS, and Ph.D. degrees from the National Taiwan University.
