Rose Horton serves as the Specialty Director of the Emory Decatur Hospital.

She is a Women & Infant healthcare executive leader who is passionate about safe and equitable care for all birthing people. Ms. Horton served as the 2012 Association of Women's Health Obstetrics & Neonatal Nursing (AWHONN) President. She speaks on the topic of maternal morbidity and mortality, diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging locally, regionally and nationally. She coined the hashtag #Notonmywatch as a call to action to all nurses caring for the birthing community, to commit to: treating everyone with dignity and respect, listening and believing, advocating for, providing evidence based care, and finally 'seeing' our patients. She believes that everyone has the right to a sacred and joyful pregnancy, labor birth and recovery.
